Children in foster care or adopted

St Andrew's welcomes families who foster or have adopted. We have a number of families and our support differs according to what the family and child need. 

We're aware of the issues around being in care or adopted (eg being asked to provide baby photos) and our staff are very sensitive to these. We don't have a one-size fits all approach as we are aware that the needs of each child and each family is unique. 

We use PP+ to ensure that the child can access the curriculum and school life as positively as possible.

If you have any questions about the support your child would receive 

Sophie is an adopted child who attended St Andrew's for 6 years and flourished during that time. Her adoption was very open (Her mum still works in the school office) but the school supports foster or adoptive families with complete discretion.
