Sports Opportunities 2014/2015 – Activities funded by Sports Premium

The Sports Premium Fund has continued to help us fund a wide variety of events throughout the year. At St Andrew's we try to ensure that all year groups and classes have access to festivals and events. Most festivals organised by the School Sports Partnership are aimed at children in Year 3 and 4.  In most cases we are limited to how many children we can send to any one event, this often means that children in different classes will go to different events.  If we know of specific children who are particularly talented or interested in any one sport we will always direct them to the appropriate event.

The Sports Premium fund also pays for staff cover where necessary and for staff to attend training events.

Participation in a variety of events, in addition to curriculum PE lessons enables us to apply for Sports Mark Recognition from the Youth Sport Trust.  This recognition then opens up further training and events for us to access.

Please see the list of Sporting Events for academic year 2014/2015.
